Nothing warms a Melbourne winter like cooking over fire and sipping delicious whisky. To welcome the cooler months, Asado has prepared the ultimate collaboration celebrating all things Whisky and Wagyu over a premium 5 course lunch at Asado.
Melbourne’s very own Starward Whisky will be turning up the heat for this event with an array of stunning whiskies, whilst the team at Asado will be stoking the coals to formulate an exclusive menu to warm up your winter, including the showstopping Stone Axe Wagyu (you don’t want to miss this).
Phoenix Rain and Sara Jones from Starward Whisky will guide you through the tasting of four premium whiskies, perfectly matched with each course. Starward’s innovative style takes rich flavours from red wine and stout barrels, pushing the boundaries of what whisky can be while maintaining perfect balance.
Asado’s Sous Chef Jack Tildesley will walk you through his stunning menu, including the carefully selected cuts from Australia’s leading Full Blood Wagyu supplier Stone Axe.
Stone Axe Wagyu is truly a cut above the rest. This extra-premium supplier is Australia’s first ever back-to-back Grand Champion winners of the Wagyu Branded Beef awards, with product of the highest possible quality, free from artificial growth hormones and fed quality produce grown by Australian farmers.
