Got a question?

Please see the answers to our most frequently asked questions below!

Do we need a reservation?

While we do accept walk-ins when possible, a reservation is the only way we can guarantee availability and we strongly encourage you to make one. You can make a reservation online!

What is your cancellation policy?

Asado requires notification of cancellation 24 hours in advance, for any reason. Failure to provide adequate notice will result in a $50 per person cancellation fee. Bookings that do not show up or contact the venue will be cancelled after 15 minutes and will incur a $50 per person ‘no show’ fee. If you are running late or need to cancel or make any changes to your reservation, please contact us directly on 03 9088 8600 or email us at info@asado.melbourne

How long do we have the table for?

Bookings are designed for a two-hour sitting only, and we advise that your dining experience is likely to take the full two hours, due to the timeframe required for our Argentinian Parrilla charcoal-grill cooking style. If you would like to dine longer we suggest you book a sitting after 8.15 pm. If you are dining on a set menu please allow at least two hours for the full experience. If you require a shorter dining timeframe, please contact the venue to discuss your individual requirements and our friendly team will let you know if this is possible. El Rapido & Pre-theatre menu bookings are for a maximum of 1hr.

Can I dine a la carte for groups of 8 or more?

All parties of 8 or more are required to select from one of our set menus. All our set menus are designed to be shared. These include smaller dishes through to our chargrilled and slow cooked meats from our custom built parrilla and asado fire pit as well as traditional Argentine desserts. You can view our set menu options here.

Do booking time limits apply to group bookings too?

The leave times may not apply for events, large group bookings or private dining. Groups dining in the main area of the restaurant may also have strict leave times, please be aware and confirm your leave times with our friendly staff. Please contact our reservations coordinator via info@asado.melbourne if you require further clarification.

My friend has booked another group reservation at the same time, can we sit together?

If a friend, family or colleague has booked another table and you would like to sit together, we may be able to accommodate if you give us prior notice. We encourage you to contact the restaurant in this case, as if the total guests are 8 or more, you will be required to choose from one of our set menus and agree to our related terms and conditions. We kindly request that you refrain from arriving with extra guests without notice, so we can ensure you the best dining experience.

Do you have highchairs or baby changing facilities?

We don’t have highchairs or baby changing facilities at Asado. You are welcome to bring a booster seat and we will endeavour to make space for prams when requested.

Can you fulfil dietary requirements?

While we offer gluten/nut/allergen free menu options, we are not a gluten/nut/allergen free kitchen. On rare occasions cross-contamination could occur, and our restaurant is unable to guarantee that any item can be completely free of allergens. Patrons are encouraged to consider this information in light of their individual requirements and needs. Please contact the restaurant directly to ensure your needs can be met.

Is your meat Halal?

All O'Connor's Beef is produced by Halal approved butchers, however our cooking process may not meet your preferences. Asado has one charcoal grill where all cooking takes place, including non-Halal-approved products. Please contact the restaurant in advance for further details regarding your booking and preparation options.

Can I bring my own wine?

We are not a licensed BYO venue and unfortunately do not offer corkage. However we have an abundant selection to choose from to cater for all tastes!
