Get ready for a culinary exploration through the roads of Patagonia and the traditional flavours that line the way. Introducing Asado's upcoming private dining event, Los Caminos a Patagonia!

Experience the unique flavours of Patagonian cuisine, featuring dishes like lamb slow-roasted over an open fire for 8 hours, smoked pork ribs, scallop ceviche, smoked ricotta cheesecake and more. Asado's Head Chef Camilo Guzman and Junior Sous Chef Jack Tildesley have collaborated on the menu, carefully crafting each dish to transport you to the heart of this spectacular region.

The premium lamb will be sourced through Vic’s Meat, the family owned & operated leading meat supplier of Victoria. Fresh, premium produce will be provided by 90+ year Australian supplier, Simon George & Sons.

If there’s one thing we know complements a serving of succulent lamb, it’s a drop of imported South American wine. That is why we are partnering up with Gonzalo Larre from Sol y Vino to offer a selection of fine wines, handpicked to match the bold and flavourful cuisine.

Taking place overlooking Melbourne’s beautiful Southbank, this event promises to be a celebration of Patagonia’s rich culinary heritage.

First Course 

Tiradito de Viera
Scallop ceviche, pickled jalapeño, burnt corn, wakame, lime dressing

Second Course

Empanada de Cordero 
Smoked and braised lamb shank, roasted capsicum, parsley  

Lengua 
Grilled beef tongue skewer, fermented Habanero, pink Kampot pepper 

  

Third Course

Costillas de Cerdo
Smoked pork ribs, chile de árbol and maple glaze, butterbean puree, corn, spinach dust  

Vegetales a la Chapa
Andean root vegetables cooked over the Chapa, cultured cream, Patagonian beer syrup, roasted yeast

  

Main Course

Cordero Cocido Sobre El Asador
8 hours slow cooked lamb, red chimichurri & jus

  Setas de Pino y Ajo Blanco
Chargrilled pine mushrooms, black garlic dressing, ajo blanco sauce, pine nuts

Ensalada de Endivias 
Witlof, radish, apple, pickled red onion, blood orange and agave vinaigrette, hazelnuts

  

Dessert 

Torta de Queso Ahumada 
Smoked ricotta cheesecake, blistered grapes, raisin syrup, elderflower
